Well, I had a vision for this site. A place where the common competitive player could post news about his/her league, team or game and be heard by the community. Sites like GotFrag do a good job of covering the more popular stuff but I'd love to hear all about all those other leagues. Unfortunatly, I don't have the time to visit all these sites to keep up to date. I created that site assuming others would feel the same. But it seems nobody is willing to volunteer to post their league news. Since this site is collecting dust and as the codebase isn't kept up to date, the only thing this site brings is a possible open door for spammers to hack it and abuse it. Therefore, in order to protect my main site, ProGamingTV.com, I will be deleting this Joomla account in a few weeks. If anybody is interested in taking over, let me know before then.

CEVO announced they've extended the deadline for registration to September 11th. With OCZ Technology coming on board to sponsor Season 2 of Team Fortress 2, we have decided to extend team registration to Thursday, September 11th to give teams one last chance to participate in this exciting event. With that said, Preseason will begin as scheduled with the first matches being played on Thursday, September 11th. An additional week of preseason is being added to account for the extended registration period. As stated below, team rosters will remain open for the duration of the preseason for any teams that may still need to make changes. And remember our CEVO-A and CEVO-P division is 100% FREE. http://www.cevo.com/?page=forum&func=viewthread&id=7116&forumID=2

MYM announced that the famed Swedish female Counter-Strike 1.6 team "Les Seules" will now be flying under their Meet Your Makers banner. Les Seules, which have a television series about them on MTV Sweden called PlayUs.tv will now be MYM.cs. Personally, I think their name had some brand recognition value and probably should have been kept as MYM.Seules. Good luck to all the girls as part of this new organization! After reviewing the ESWC Masters event, where MYM.Seules took the gold medals, we can gladly announce that the two organizations have come to an agreement that Les Seules as of today will be known as MYM.cs and fully incorporated into the MYM teams. This also means that their web properties as of today will be pointing at myMYM.com and that you in the future can find all needed things about the girls in pink right here on www.mymym.com. Money can buy you anything. And once you've bought a license plate for 14 million dollars and you still have some spare change left what can you spend it on?

Well that's no fun. You'd think in this day and age hackers would find jobs instead of defacing websites for fun. We get it, you're awesome and thanks for the reminder to update my sh1t but I could have done without. Sigh.

Both TGL and CEVO decided to adopt the recent 'promod' for the next seasons of CoD4 action. The 'promod' only support a single ruleset in an attempt to unify the NA leagues and come in line with the EU side of things. While I'm sure many will complain about some of the changes, maybe this will end the constant playing around with the ruleset once and for all. For more info: http://www.gotfrag.com/cod/story/42723/?cpage=1 (I'm not sure if the 'promod' also fixes rulesets for other game modes like Sabotage or if it is an S&D only mod. Feel free to clarify by posting a comment to this news item if you know).

For those who care about CGS... G4 will televise the CGS 2008 North America Finals & the CGS 2008 World Finals in four 90-minute episodes beginning July 16th. This will be the league's first foray on U.S. cable television. And one would think that with G4 being signed to the Microsoft Marketplace these would be the kind of shows tailored for distribution on LIVE through a GAMING console but since they don't even include X-Play I doubt they'll include this... go figure! http://www.thecgs.com/Championship_Gaming_Series_Brings_Programming_to_US_Cable_Television_for_First_Time_with_Exclusive_G4_Deal
